Waiting

Here at the airport waiting for our flight.  Woke up at 4:00am left town at 5:00am, went through the typical airport annoyance and now just sitting and waiting.  The kids were really excited when we first left and chattering on the bus.  They soon fell asleep, but when we had breakfast the chatter started again.  There is excitement in the air, most of the kids have not flown before and that alone is exciting, but the real reason reason for the excitement is that we are on our way to Washington DC to present our experiments at the SSEP national convention.  What an incredible experience for students and teachers alike.  Our group is 13 people, 5 middle school students, 3 high school graduates, 3 awesome teachers, the superintendent and his wife. Tomorrow is the graduates presentation, they go 2nd of the many presentations.  The middle school presents Wednesday. Things will be hopping as we present, go sight seeing, and try to get some sleep.  You can't help but get caught up in the excitement!

  1. I have spent many hours (could be converted to many days I suspect) waiting in airports...the only thing to do is read or write....or...practice and review presentation! I know you are all going to do a great job. We are here thinking about you and hoping you have a wonderful time! More important that the presentation (although that is why you are there) is the opportunity to see our nation's capitol...enjoy it!
